Tag Merge

I like to label
each post just so, specify
all its many roles

anticipate how one might
want to search for it by tag

a touch neurotic,
perhaps - but a post untagged
might as well be lost

now there are four hundred plus
(oh dear: the nested ones bred)

there are duplicates
horrors-! slight variations
in spelling and theme

my devil-may-care tagging
has defeated the whole point

and if I have to
change one tag by hand fifty-
three times I will scream

my new favorite
feature saves me from that choice:
'merge tags' - what a joy!

glorious merging of tags
choral hallelujah sounds

when this tag and that
join hands and unite as one
under a new name

so simple-! it's so easy!
the madness fades from my eyes

I am empowered
to organize all the things
merging need with speed

When you go to your Manage Tags page, it is possible to select two tags and merge them into one.
